Charles Stipelman

Senior Vice President, Enrolled Actuary

Charles Stipelman is Senior Vice President of NPPG and has been a retirement planning and actuarial consultant for more than 45 years. Since joining NPPG in 2008, Charles has been responsible for design and administration of defined benefit pension programs, actuarial consulting and advisory services for the company’s clients as well as driving the execution of NPPG’s strategic initiatives and organizational goals.

Charles spent 25 years at the helm of CMS Pension Associates. During his tenure as President and Chief Actuary, Charles aided clients on corporate oversight of actuarial practices, administrative governance, and strategic planning and monitoring to meet the retirement plan needs of plan sponsors and participants.

Charles has been an Enrolled Actuary since 1976 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Brooklyn College and a Master of Science Degree in Theoretical Mathematics from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is also a fellow of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (FSPA), member of the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA), Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) and member of College of Pension Actuaries.

Charles has been the General Chairman of the Education and Examination Committee of ASPPA and board member as well as an accredited lecturer for the continuing education department. He is a published and contributing author and editor for the Journal of Pension Benefits.
